A fine rookie season just keeps getting better for Tyrann Mathieu.

The rookie safety, the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month for October, has been added to the NFL's Pro Bowl ballot. It's quite an honor for the LSU product, who has enjoyed a stellar initial campaign for the Red Birds.

This all coincides with Mathieu being named Arizona's starting free safety on Tuesday. Once the "Honey Badger" was given that distinction, he was added to the Pro Bowl ballot.

Mathieu ranks second on the Cardinals with 49 tackles (47 solo, 2 assisted). Linebacker Karlos Dansby leads the team with 71. Mathieu has added a pair of interceptions, one forced fumble and three passes defended.

Point Spread Time

The Arizona Cardinals are three-point favorites (-3) over the visiting Houston Texans this Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. The Texans (2-6) have lost six straight contests, while the Red Birds (4-4) look to vault over the .500 mark following their bye week.
