Good news for the Arizona Cardinals rushing game. Running back Rashard Mendenhall, who has been dealing with knee tendinitis, returned to practice. He is still slated to be head coach Bruce Arians' lead back this upcoming season.

**In other news, rookie running back Andre Ellington (concussion) has been cleared to return but will be worked in slowly at this point. Injury-plagued running back Ryan Williams, now in his third year, remains day-to-day with his knee issues. Williams is missing valuable practice time in a very important season for him.

**Elsewhere, wide receiver Jarrett Dillard has a concussion and will be out until he’s cleared. Offensive guard Daryn Colledge (leg) is expected to practice fully starting today.

"I want to be out there next week against Dallas.” Colledge said to azcardinals.com.

Arians said he expects tight end Kory Sperry (ankle) and defensive tackle Dan WIlliams (ankle) to return next week, so neither sounds likely to play for the game Saturday against Dallas. Tight end Jeff King (knee) is day-to-day at this time.

**Rookie linebacker Kevin Minter impressed Arians in his pro debut against the Packers last Friday.

“Sideline to sideline he was better than I anticipated,” Arians explained via azcardinals.com. “He’s a thumper, exactly what we are looking for as a middle linebacker. Really bright."
