As the weather heats up in the Valley, things have slowed down somewhat in Arizona Cardinals country. Here are a few tidbits though:

**Details have not been made known yet but don't forget the Arizona Cardinals Fan Fest on June 11 at the University of Phoenix Stadium. It's always a fun time for Red Birds fans.

**The Cardinals will resume their final set of OTAs next week from Monday through Friday. Mandatory minicamp will follow from June 11-13.

**In general NFL news that also affects the Red Birds, the NFL Draft has been moved back from late April until May 8-10 next year. The NFL made this announcement which was posted on azcardinals.com:

“The change in the date of the 2014 Draft will have no effect on when rookies may begin to report to their clubs, the dates of off-season programs, or the length of off-season programs. Clubs will have available to them the same number of practice days that they currently have and no changes in the off-season calendar are being considered that would reduce the number of practice days or the overall length of the off-season program. At this time, changes are not anticipated in the off-season calendar for 2015 and beyond that would reduce the number of practice days or otherwise limit the off-season program.”

This will certainly benefit rookie players.
