Now that we're in between the NFL Draft and mini camps, it would be a good time to take a deeper look into the Arizona Cardinals' upcoming schedule for the 2013 NFL campaign. As the temperature heats up in the valley, things have slowed down a bit in the desert.

The Red Birds face a pretty difficult schedule, especially since they are now in the toughest division in football, the NFL West.

Let's take a quick look at each game with a Cardinals101 prediction for each contest:

Sept. 8 vs. at St. Louis Rams, 4:25 p.m. – Season opener. Wow, a very tough call. Rams play Red Birds tough in the dome usually. Loss.

Sept. 15 vs. Detroit Lions, 4:05 p.m - Cards earn impressive win in their home opener as Palmer-Fitzgerald-Floyd exploit weak Lions secondary. Win.

Sept. 22 at New Orleans Saints, 1 p.m. – This should be a wild, high-scoring shootout but the Saints just have too much firepower. Loss.

Sept. 29 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m. - Red Birds move to 2-2 by putting lots of pressure on Bucs QB Josh Freeman. Win.

Oct. 6 vs. Carolina Panthers, 4:05 p.m. - Two great receivers in this contest – Carolina's Steve Smith and Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald's team wins. Win.

Oct. 13 at San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 p.m. – NFC Champs still too tough, especially in Candlestick Park. Loss.

Oct. 17 vs. Seattle Seahawks, 8:25 p.m. – Tight NFC West battle goes into overtime where Cards win it with a long field goal. Win.

Oct. 27 vs. Atlanta Falcons 4:25 p.m. – Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones took much for Arizona. Loss.

BYE WEEK

Nov. 10 vs. Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m. – All-pro running back Arian Foster has a big game for the Texans. Loss.

Nov. 17 at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. – Red Birds travel East and beat one of the worst teams in the league. Win.

Nov. 24 vs. Indianapolis Colts, 4:05 p.m. – QB Andrew Luck visits Glendale for the first time and leads the Colts to victory. Loss

Dec. 1 at Philadelphia Eagles, 1 p.m. – Another trip to the Eastern time zone to face a still dangerous Eagles squad. Loss.

Dec. 8 vs. St. Louis Rams 4:25 p.m. – Cardinals get some revenge for their season opening loss to the Rams. Win.

Dec. 15 at Tennessee Titans 1 p.m. – Can the Red Birds shut down RB Chris Johnson? They do just enough to post a nice road triumph. Win.

Dec. 22 at Seattle Seahawks 4:05 p.m. – Arizona travels to toughest road Stadium in NFL - CenturyLink Field – and the results are not good. Loss.

Dec. 29 vs. San Francisco 49ers 4:25 p.m. – Cards drop second straight to finish the season at 7-9, a two-game improvement from last season. Loss.
